- The first trailer for Joss Whedon's Serenity movie is out and it looks kinda awesome, but also kinda like the TV show My biggest question is will this look cinematic enough? Will it be enough of a transition from the small screen?

It looked nearly cinematic enough to be a movie when it was on television, so I don't think it really needs to look all that different.

I had the same feeling, Tom -- I really liked it, but the delivery of the lines mixed with that overdramatic voice and kasbian just didn't mesh for me. It was like it was trying to be a For Real Grown Up Movie Trailer by following the formula, but not quite making it. I'm hoping it's just the trailer and not the whole film that doesn't feel right.

Well, I'm sure it looks kinda like a movie in glorious HD [1080p] resolution on a 30" Apple Cinema Display..
