- There's a lovely little widget available for listening to podcasts available on Odeo.com at the moment It's just been updated to make it even shinier. Lovely bit of work this that Apple can't / haven't competed with...
- Wired News' take on Joss Whedon's Serenity Yet another pretty glowing review. It notes some of the script's shortcomings and structural problems, but still comes to the conclusion that you really shouldn't miss it. How many people have to tell you this before you'll believe me?

The Odeo player is very very sweet, but I can't help wondering about the still-unfinished 'Create' section, which, to me, is the big draw of the site.
(This weekend, I swapped out my Odeo queue in iTunes to individual podcasts from iTMS, in part because they give me better metadata. I didn't particular like doing it, but it works better for me.)

I've noticed test podcasts done through odeo's create utilities showing up on some of the podcasts I listen to so presumably the 'Create' section will be open shortly.

Google paying for Internet access? Could the legendary World of Univeral Internet Access really come true?
"Serenity" really is a good movie. I don't think it's the "new Star Wars" the way some have described it, because it's based on a TV series, so it's not as revolutionary. "Star Wars" was the unveiling of a new vision of scifi. "Serenity" is just a continuation of a vision most people who never saw. I hope to see more "Serenity" movies or even a revived TV series. I also need to rent the DVD. I never knew what I was missing.
