- Wikipedia has an article on the "Two-Spirit" identity that Native Americans with unconventional sexual or gender identities have claimed for their own... "Two-Spirit is a term for third gender people (for example, woman-living-man) that are among many, if not most, Native American and Canadian First Nations tribes. It usually implies a masculine spirit and a feminine spirit living in the same body."

BA hq waterside- all toilets designed as unisex, all cubicle doors completely flush with curving wall- therefore go into (relabeled) gents to be presented with perfectly oval empty room with a wash basin and mirror. Absolutely every chap going to the loo for the first time bounced back out again to double check the door sign.

I had the opposite bathroom usability experience in a posh hotel in Kensington, once. Not sure the shitty camera phone picture really does justice to it's sheer brilliance, mind you.
