i've had my work shown in the wrong light or pieces shown next to each other that i asked not to be but i've never had a support or hanger shown by itself. that just seems ludicrous to me. i hope at least that he handcrafted the support piece himself and that he's proud of it.
I'm with the RA selectors on this one. The support piece looks like an elegant bit of wood-turning, even if it's a bit lost on that plinth. And the laughing head looks very ordinary.

Well that is to bad they can not tell what art is. I would have been proud to display that art piece!
