Netflix are offering $1 million to anyone who can substantially improve their recommendations algorithms The most interesting thing is that they're opening up a substantial dataset in order to help them work through these issues. I'd be really interested to get my hands on that with a talented data visualiser. Maybe Stamen should have a play?

2) I'd like YOU to Announce to the board that YOU have banned ME. They have a right to know, non?

If you do not feel that I and the rest of Barbelith deserve such basic human respect: what happens next is on your head -- and no, that's not a threat; I will harm nobody.

Just wanted to say sorry.

I didn't mean to Hex Barbelith. However, it seems that my death has sparked a lot of considered thought, eh? So it might have turned out nice afterall... I dunno...

I also know you're busy, comrade, but I do genuinely feel you need to devolve some or most of your power as the Overseer of Barbelith -- if only because you'r enot around to read all the threads and follow all the avenues of discussion and conflict. Many members do likewise, but they do not have the power to ostricise others by mistake.

But no worry. Pleas edo not feel you have to invite me back into the family, for my sake. I have a lot to do as well; and maybe I've done enough for Barbelith already?

At least I'm still sane, eh? :)

I pray you and Cal and bring a anarchic version of your Triplotica into practice, and that the days of "ass-candling", "banning", destroying our Illustrious Ancestors, and forgeting to say "sorry" and "thanks" are over.
