Now in its 36th year, the council-run Cambridge Folk Festival is renowned across Europe, and has won various production awards, including a Chartermark accolade for excellence. Audiences come for its warm atmosphere, besides the consistently strong music, encompassing traditional roots, Cajun and Celtic, jazz, zydeco, klezmer, and a whole world more. This year, a Thursday night concert extends the festival to a four-day event. Highlights will be broadcast on Radio 2 (88-91 FM)
